Overview GHD Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines. Senior Power System Engineer to join our Energy group. This role focuses on delivering high quality projects for our internal and external clients, with a focus on continuing development and professional recognition in the industry. Location: Makati, Quezon City, or Cebu City office, depending on home base/location. What You’ll Do Perform electrical engineering tasks including design calculations, data analysis, and use of specialized software for power system studies Manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes. Lead technical delivery teams Work in close collaboration with colleagues across service lines Plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met Communicate with clients about current work and future needs, provide timely updates on project progress Supervise, support and train less experienced members of the team. Formally mentoring young professionals Developing the team, contributing to keeping team knowledge up to date with technical, regulatory and industry trends What You’ll Need At least 7 years’ experience in power system analysis and planning Capability in power systems analysis software and tools including PSS/E, PSCAD EMTDC, Power factory, Matlab Simulink, and Python Working knowledge of the Australian National Electricity Rules or similar grid codes relating to expansion of the power system and interconnection of new generating sources and/or modification of existing ones Knowledge and experience with primary and secondary systems, transient stability assessment, load flow and fault analysis, transmission system planning, generator connection and performance assessment, renewable energy systems integration, control system and inverter systems Broad experience with power system analysis methods and processes, including load flow and short circuit studies, transient stability analysis, small signal stability and voltage stability studies Note: This job offer may be based in Makati, Quezon City, or Cebu City, depending on home base/location.
