Overview Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will work closely with the VP for Finance and People Administration to ensure accounting operations run smoothly, financial reports are prepared on time, and accounting principles are implemented. Responsibilities Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, understand their needs and provide tailored accounting solutions; build and maintain client relationships; collaborate to develop budgets and forecasts; provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance. Finance and Accounting: Review disbursements, supplier invoices, contracts; reconcile intercompany transactions; manage recording and inventory of Fixed Assets; initiate monthly, quarterly and annual closings; assist with audits; maintain general ledger; process payroll and timesheets; liaise with auditors and tax authorities; stay updated on tax laws; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; assist budgeting/forecasting. People Management: Develop strategies, provide training, communicate tasks and development, gather feedback, ensure day-to-day operations quality. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with internal and external personnel; liaise with banks for payroll accounts and updates. Process Management: Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. CPA license is an advantage but not required. Solid knowledge of general accounting; strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS. International client service experience. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Oracle, Odoo, Xero). Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
