Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Company Nurse to join our transportation company, in the Benefits section of the Human Resource Department. As the Company Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, including drivers, conductors, mechanics, and support staff. Your responsibilities will include evaluating pre-employment and annual physical examinations to assess employees' fitness for duty, administering immediate medical care in response to emergencies and accidents, and coordinating with external medical providers for further treatment when necessary. Your role will also involve collaborating closely with management and safety teams to implement and enforce occupational health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe working environment.

In addition to providing direct medical assistance, under the administrative function, your tasks include the following:

  • Processes SSS sick leaves, loans, government certificates
  • Processes Pag-IBIG loans and certificates
  • Processes PhilHealth benefits for admission
  • Assists dentist in the clinic (scheduled once a week)
  • Assists company doctor for consultation of employees (scheduled once a week)
  • Evaluates pre-employment medical results of applicants (for recruitment)
  • Maintains and monitors the supplies in the clinic
  • In-charge of evaluating the medical certificates of employees from sick leave (for fit-to-work)

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with an active license
  • Previous experience in occupational health, emergency room, or similar settings
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle medical emergencies and provide health education
