Role Introduction

What can you expect in a Business Insights Analyst role with TaskUs:

Think of yourself as a storyteller who can leverage data to create solutions that help the business grow. The role focuses on explaining and exposing tasks based on actual data, supporting stakeholders with key insights to enable data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate data into human insights and stories which drive change in strategy and tactics.
• Analyze complex data sets to develop actionable insights that influence business decisions.
• Leverage storytelling skills to deliver insights that are clear, concise, and actionable.
• Work with business partners to interpret analysis results with a focus on actionable next steps.
• Develop ad hoc reports that provide the insights and analysis needed for the business.
• Collaborate with the data visualization team to develop informative, repeatable reporting, data monitoring, and data hygiene practices that uncover gaps and trends.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications for data and reporting teams and, conversely, translate technical approaches into easily digestible insights.
• Summarize data from multiple sources and develop reasonable assumptions to communicate insights and opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of data analysis and preparation experience, including use of statistical methods and handling very large data sets using SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages.
• At least one year of hands-on experience building reports using Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar tools.
• Effective communication: conveys thoughts clearly, prepares documents with appropriate language and format, and attends to detail.
• Take Initiative: assumes responsibility for actions or problem resolution when accountability is not clear and seeks guidance when needed.
• Problem Solving: identifies discrepancies, reasons, and devises plans to resolve them.
• Ability to gather information, prioritize effectively, and respond quickly to changing day-to-day operations related to department priorities.

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT/Computer-related field.
