The Product Development Manager is responsible for leading the development and management of a product or product portfolio, from concept to market launch and ongoing success. The role will work alongside a team of product and program managers who will create and develop innovative Fintech products, drive enterprise programs through all phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring it meets financial and contractual obligations. Major Accountabilities:

Involvement in product functions to aid in development of new funds/products/investment strategies and monitoring the existing portfolios:

Facilitate activities in the SLIMTC Product Development and Approval Process (PDAP). He/she will be the primary representative of the Head, Business Development and Analytics in all product-related concerns for SLIMTC and is expected to be well-versed in the client and regulatory requirements pertaining to the product and strategy development phase.

  • Responsible to ensure the creation of products and strategies for SLIMTC on a regular business to aid in the expansion of the company's AUM and client base. These include, but are not limited to:
  • New product/service offerings that represent new lines of business to SLIMTC that SLIMTC intends to offer to clients and will be included as additional products listed in the SLIMTC Trust Manual of Operations
  • New Unit Investment Trust Fund (UITF) funds meant to service the needs of SLIMTC clients and/or the investing public.
  • Products/service offerings that may be added by the SLIMTC Management and/or Board as appropriate.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the SLIMTC Product Development group (PDG). This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Creation and maintenance of the PDG meeting agenda and minutes
  • Facilitation of the discussion of products and strategies
  • Coordination among various product-related stakeholders (such as Marketing/Investments/Finance) within SLIMTC and related parties and clients
  • Review of previously launched funds and products to ensure they are complying with the initial product launch plans and parameters.

Manage the existing documentary and regulatory aspects of the product development process. These would require monitoring and updating of required internal forms that pertain to SLIMTC products. These also include regulatory submission requirements for current and future SLIMTC products and UITF funds.

Improvement and maintenance of the internal systems of SLIMTC.

This includes acquiring and constantly developing knowledge in the Bloomberg system, and any other future system that the team will utilize to manage the assets of SLIMTC. He/she must acquire sufficient operational knowledge of the system to facilitate any product-related tasks needing information from the Bloomberg system.
