Dover Business Services (DBS) is seeking a talented Tax Center of Excellence Specialist to join our new shared service center in Cebu, Philippines. This role involves delivering timely and quality service to internal stakeholders and Dover suppliers, measured by service level agreements and KPIs. Responsibilities include operational processing such as data collection, account reconciliation, and correspondence tracking.
This position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio across the manufacturing industry and provides cross-functional experience in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, review, interpret, and validate data supplied by Business Units and Financial Systems for tax-related reporting.
- Lead or assist with tax process improvement projects, including software implementation, automation, and workpaper enhancements.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, collaborating with other functions like accounts receivable or payable.
- Report project progress and concerns to stakeholders.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain emerging tax technologies.
- Develop and deliver end-user training, maintaining documentation of all trainings.
- Maintain tax automation and reporting tools.
- Ensure productivity and meet SLAs in a complex environment, referencing data in taxation systems.
- Interact courteously with stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Engage with taxing authorities to gather information for tax compliance.
- Assist with other projects or duties, including continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Taxation or a related field.
- Working knowledge of International Indirect Taxation (Sales + VAT) is an advantage.
- Experience with emerging tax technologies, troubleshooting, and tax advice.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SharePoint experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate results.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Problem-solving skills in variable situations.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Self-directed, ethical, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to Dover’s ethical standards and policies.
