POSITION TITLE: ANALYST – TAX CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
REPORTING TO: Lead, Tax Center of Excellence

LOCATION: Cebu, Philippines

Dover Business Services (DBS) is looking for a talented Tax Center of Excellence Analyst to join our new shared service center in Cebu, Philippines. Working within an emerging shared services organization, the Tax Center of Excellence Analyst is responsible for delivering timely and quality service to internal stakeholders and Dover suppliers, as measured by service level agreements and key performance indicators. The Analyst will perform operational processing including data collection and management, account reconciliation and tracking of correspondence. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse portfolio across the manufacturing industry and gain cross-functional experience in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.

• Review and collect tax exemption certificates, including during sales tax audits
• Analyze, review, interpret and validate data supplied by the Business Unit and/or Financial Systems for tax-relevant reporting requirements related to sales tax exemption certificates
• Assist with tax registrations and other reporting/compliance requirements
• Perform tax research for tax transaction issues and stay up to date with tax developments
• Assist with tax process improvement projects, including software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvement and ongoing process improvement
• Assist in developing and establishing procedures and controls for sales tax exemption certificates
• Maintain tax automation and reporting tools, particularly for exemption certificates
• Interact with stakeholders, customers and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates
• Support transitions and other projects for tax-related activities
• Interact with taxing authorities to gather information necessary for tax compliance
• Maintain productivity and meet service level agreements in a complex environment using tax systems data
• Assist with other projects or duties as assigned, including continuous improvement efforts

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field
• 1+ years of experience in Taxation or related field; fresh graduates may be considered
• Working knowledge in International Indirect Taxation (Sales + VAT) is an advantage
• Experience using Oracle and/or other ERP systems
• Advantage: Experience in Vertex, Sabrix or other tax systems
• Experience in maintaining tax documentation, troubleshooting and resolving tax issues with customers/suppliers and composing tax written advice
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (SharePoint a plus)
