Role Overview Title: Software Developer (Android) Level: Middle to Senior Team: Android Development Team (11 developers + Tech Lead), part of a 35‑person Mobile Tribe including QA, BA, and Designers Reports To: Line Manager (administrative), Delivery Manager (tribe context) Purpose: Build and maintain the Paysera SuperApp by developing new features, supporting existing functionality, and ensuring high‑quality, secure, and scalable mobile solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Paysera SuperApp features using Kotlin and Jetpack libraries. Implement RESTful API integrations, including authentication and data security practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to naming standards, design guidelines, and maintainability. Diagnose and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks using profiling tools and performance metrics. Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to deliver user‑friendly, Material Design‑aligned interfaces. Write and maintain unit tests and UI tests using frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies using tools such as GitHub Actions or Bitrise. Apply dependency‑injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger, Hilt, Koin) to modularize and scale applications. Ensure compliance with security practices to protect user data and prevent vulnerabilities. Use AI productivity tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) daily to accelerate coding, documentation, and troubleshooting tasks. Must‑Have Qualifications 3+ years of hands‑on Android development experience using Kotlin (verified by CV and code samples). 1+ year of experience with Jetpack libraries (Compose, Room, Navigation) in production projects. Strong understanding of Android SDK and Material Design principles (verified via technical interview). Demonstrated expertise with mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture) applied in scalable apps. 1+ year of experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso). Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise). Experience integrating dependency‑injection frameworks (Hilt, Dagger, or Koin) in modularized Android projects. Proficiency with Android XML for UI and resources and Navigation/AndroidManifest configuration. Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications Prior exposure to the fintech industry and regulatory environments. Familiarity with iOS development or other mobile platforms. Contributions to Android developer communities (meetups, open‑source projects, personal apps). Proven track record of building and shipping at least one production Android app with >10k installs (verified via Play Store links or portfolio). Java proficiency for Android, with strong command of OOP, Collections/Generics, Java 8+ features (lambdas, streams), concurrency, and memory/performance fundamentals, and seamless Kotlin interoperability.
