Join ICA INSURANCE AND SURETY SERVICES We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically-minded Underwriting Associate to support our Non-Life/Property & Casualty (P&C) risk evaluation processes. This role is essential for the accurate and timely handling of new business submissions and renewals across our Motorcar, Fire and Other lines portfolio. Key Responsibilities Risk Data Triage and Analysis: Conduct initial review of P&C new business applications, policy change requests, and renewal data. Verify that submissions align with territorial and class of business eligibility rules. Exposure Gathering: Compile and analyze specific P&C risk data points, including loss runs, inspection reports, motor vehicle records (MVRs), financial statements, and property valuation data. System Input & Rating: Accurately enter and verify risk data into the rating and policy administration systems. Assist underwriters in generating initial premium indications and policy quotes. Agent/Broker Service: Act as a critical service contact for our agents, addressing routine questions about submission status, required documentation, and basic rating methodologies. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous electronic files, ensuring all necessary supporting documents (binders, loss control reports, signed applications) are secured. Ensure adherence to state-specific regulatory requirements for filing and policy issuance. Referral Preparation: Prepare a clear, concise summary of complex risks, those with adverse loss history, or risks exceeding binding authority for referral to a Senior Underwriter. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education: High School Graduate or Senior High School (SHS) Graduate. Skills: Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and an ability to learn new software quickly. Attention to Detail: You are someone who notices the "small things" and takes pride in error-free work. Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn a new industry. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills
