A QA Tester is responsible for the creation of tests to identify issues with software before the product launch. Duties include identifying and analyzing any bugs and errors found during the test phase and documenting them for review after. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, reporting on the results and collaborating with software developers to fix program issues. Responsibilities Create tests to identify software problems Analyze bugs and errors found during tests Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results Evaluate product code according to specifications Document results of tests for the software development team Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance Works together with the software developer to enhance and improve programs Research and compare similar competitor products Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements SKILLS (all essential) Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role Experience in project management and QA methodology Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus Ability to document and troubleshoot errors Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude Strong organizational skills BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field #J-18808-Ljbffr
