Their core application is built on Ruby on Rails, and the team is focused on improving front-end usability, design consistency, and performance through clean code and thoughtful implementation. The company values clarity, consistency, and craftsmanship, they’re not looking for someone to reinvent the stack, but to bring structure, precision, and reliability to ongoing UI development. Role Overview We’re looking for a mid-level Front-End Developer with strong experience in Ruby on Rails front-end integration and Bootstrap CSS (not Tailwind). This is a hands-on role focused on translating Figma designs into responsive, production-ready views and enhancing the user experience across an existing Rails-based platform. You’ll collaborate directly with a technically strong CTO who appreciates autonomy, clear written communication, and steady delivery over frequent meetings. Key Responsibilities Implement and refine front-end features in a Ruby on Rails application using Bootstrap. Translate Figma layouts into functional, responsive, and maintainable UI components. Ensure consistency, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. Collaborate asynchronously with the CTO for technical feedback and progress updates. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. Manage version control through Git and standard CI/CD workflows. Hard Skills Required Strong working knowledge of Ruby on Rails front-end structure (not back-end Ruby development). Advanced Bootstrap experience (layout, utilities, responsive design). Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Experience implementing Figma designs into live environments. Ability to set up and run a local Rails environment. Proficiency in Git workflows.
