SMDC Pasay, National Capital Region, Philippines The Assistant SAP ABAP Manager is responsible for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of SAP programs ensuring solutions meet business requirements, timelines, and quality standards. The role assists in providing guidance to junior developers, while also contributing to solution design and issue resolution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW). Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve moderate-level technical issues. Collaborate with SAP functionals and project managers for solution design. Participate in system upgrades, patching, and migration activities. Optimize and enhance existing ABAP developments for performance and efficiency. Prepare technical specifications and unit testing document. Ensure compliance with SAP development standards, coding practices, and policies. Work with senior developers for code reviews, technical guidance, and solution validation. Provide support for integration between SAP modules and external systems. Contribute to continuous improvement by researching and applying new ABAP techniques and tools. JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including full-cycle implementations. Expertise in RICEFW development, Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS views. Strong background in SAP system upgrades, migrations (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA) and performance optimization.
