Job Overview
COO Risk is central to the Bank’s operations. We translate complex banking exposures into impacts on risk-weighted assets and provisions, aligned with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements. We are part of the Credit Risk Modelling organization, managing processes from model definition to post-production monitoring. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute, collaborate, and grow within one of Europe’s leading Banks.

Key Responsibilities
We seek a Business/Data analyst for the Default remediation and Loss Given Default (LGD) data team. The team ensures complete and accurate default and LGD data for modeling, from data capture to delivery.
• Perform historical default data analysis, collection, and enhancement for wholesale banking portfolios, adhering to regulations related to ING’s Default definition and LGD estimation.
• Assist management in developing processes, tracking KPIs, and managing ad-hoc requests, including regulator inspections.
• Conduct data remediation for default cases across various wholesale banking products.
• Collaborate with experts to ensure data quality for current default cases in the LGD lab.
• Support process improvements and remediation project coordination.
• Interact with credit risk officers and front office teams regarding loans.
Key Capabilities/Experience
Candidates should have experience in credit risk, data management, or related fields, with knowledge of wholesale banking products and default policies. Skills in data analysis tools like Excel, VBA, Access, Python, SQL, SAS are preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential. Knowledge of credit risk concepts like PD, LGD, and EAD is advantageous.
Minimum Qualifications
Proactive candidates with a background in wholesale banking lending, credit risk, restructuring, or refinancing are desired. Excellent communication skills in English, a critical and analytical mindset, and a willingness to complete tasks are required.
