Role: The Business Analyst applies knowledge of business and technology to develop integrated solutions for simple to medium technical and business issues. Acts as a liaison between customers, IT departments, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Define system and functional requirements, create specifications, use cases/user stories, traceability, and data models for development and testing. Prepare detailed test cases and analyze results. May assess technologies and recommend solutions to technical teams.

• Apply in-depth professional experience and broad knowledge of both business and technology to analyze and develop integrated solutions to resolve simple to medium technical or business issues. Interact with customers to understand needs, identify the best solution, and architect/design processes to meet the needs.
• Requirements elicitation: conduct facilitated sessions with customers to define detailed business requirements, partner with architects/designers/planners to assess current capabilities, and identify high-level requirements.
• Analyze requirements: establish scope boundaries, develop clear functional requirements for developers, articulate implications of adopting new technologies, recognize business needs and change implications, and formulate alternative solutions.
• Specify requirements: document prioritized functional requirements in a way that can be translated into test plans, use cases, and system designs to meet targets and plans.
• Translate requirements and use cases to designers and developers for clear understanding.
• Validate and verify requirements: maintain a traceability matrix linking business requirements to the technical solution and to test cases; ensure customer sign-off is delivered and tested.
• Write and/or execute test cases for Systems Integration Testing or User Acceptance Testing aligned to signed-off requirements; review conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Documentation: develop all required project documentation (user manual, training manual, requirements document, process flows, etc.).
• Training: train customer Core Project Team, End-Users, Operations Support, or other users on the proposed solution.
• Participate in quality management reviews and reviews of designs, prototypes, and other work products to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
• Gatekeeper of Requirements: raise flags to Project Manager if customer-reported issues fall outside signed-off requirements or if changes trigger updates to requirements and solution.
• UAT Support: review customer test cases for alignment with signed-off requirements and provide UAT support to customers.
• Production Support: provide knowledge handover to Level 1 support and act as SME for Level 2/3 support as needed.
• Continue to build technical and business knowledge; seek innovations in process improvement, resource utilization, and faster issue resolution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience as Technical Business Analyst or equivalent with emphasis on requirements gathering, documentation and traceability, system/application implementation, or software development methods (Waterfall, Agile).
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio.
• Exposure to banking, financial services, or credit industry is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a background in technical communications; strong interpersonal skills to bridge business and technical contexts.
• Ability to meet critical, time-sensitive objectives; comfort with delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from PMI (beneficial for those newer to PM).
• Agile and Scrum Certifications (valuable for managing projects in agile environments).
