Support Automation and Deployment Engineer Amadeus – Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines Purpose of the role The Support Automation and Deployment Engineer role is to dedicate the attention of a full‑time engineer to an ever‑growing list of deployments, each with its own specifics. The role is also required to work end to end for any project that includes AWS infrastructure setup, networking, deployment pipelines, and monitoring solutions. This role is not a typical DevOps role and requires a particular mindset, attitude, and background skills—especially the ability to persist through sizeable learning curves and rapidly adapt to new technologies. It is expected to be interactive with the rest of the Support Automation team, manage all team asks, and remain on call for any high‑priority operational issues. Job Scope Project Planning Participate in the processes of strategic project‑planning meetings Providing guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact and cost vs. benefit analysis Creating and sharing operational requirements and development forecasts to allow for timely and accurate project planning Development Responsible for maintaining and supporting IT solutions Installing and configuring solutions, implementing reusable components, translating technical requirements, assisting with all stages of test data, developing interface stubs and simulators, and performing script maintenance and updates Deployment Building automated deployment procedures through configuration‑management technology Deploying new modules and upgrades and completing fixes within the production environment Creating production‑ready modules, moving them according to specific procedures, and documenting knowledge transfer Maintenance and Troubleshooting Performing routine application maintenance tasks Creating requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance Troubleshooting existing information systems for errors and resolving those errors Infrastructure Setup and Maintenance Designing and implementing infrastructure on AWS for new projects Assisting in maintenance and troubleshooting during high‑severity incidents on these environments Being available as an escalation point according to a standby roster to maintain customer operations About the Ideal Candidate Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant discipline Industry experience essential; Amadeus knowledge preferred Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS 2 to 5 years experience in DevOps / Cloud Development / Automation Deployment Experience with CI/CD pipelines, CloudFormation/Terraform for IaC Coding in different languages for IT Robotics / Automation Track record of providing excellent operational support to end‑users for a minimum of 2 years Preferable certifications in ITIL / AWS Ability to manage change within the support organization Ability to communicate with people and processes at all levels Excellent communication skills and ability to act with minimal supervision, actively supervising and motivating staff General understanding of full‑stack DevOps, analytics, and testing Experience collaborating with software development teams using version control systems and agile methodologies Experience using data management and analytics platforms Skilled at managing high‑tech hardware/software systems Experience in software development life cycles Experience designing for scale (e.g., using Docker), recommended Awareness of emerging trends and developments in relevant technologies Sound time and resource management skills Excellent analysis and problem‑solving skills Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team Amenable to a hybrid work setup in BGC Taguig Diversity & Inclusion Amadeus aspires to be a leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the tech industry, enabling every employee to reach their full potential by fostering a culture of belonging and fair treatment, attracting the best talent from all backgrounds, and serving as a role model for an inclusive employee experience.
