Sr Security Consultant - Spider Labs (Pen Testing)

Senior Security Consultant role within the world-renowned SpiderLabs team. The team operates globally with consultants across North America, Latin and Central America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia. The role focuses on penetration testing, web application security, and consultant leadership across engagements.

This is a remote opportunity open to anyone legally authorized to work in the Philippines. The company follows a flexible workplace philosophy; in-person interaction may be requested when impactful. Occasional travel may be required based on team and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • The Senior consultant is expected to own and run key customer engagements as directed by their manager
  • As an industry leader, the senior consultant will maintain Trustwave's reputation within their center of excellence by participating in industry events and, from time to time, supporting pre-sales activities as required by their manager
  • Perform deep, detailed and advanced security assessments and penetration tests
  • Interact with customers to provide excellent service via pre-engagement meetings, post-test debriefs, and ongoing engagement interactions
  • Create organizational knowledge about key technologies, tools, and methodologies
  • Mentor and support less experienced resources
  • Opportunity to perform security research involving bug hunting, exploit development, reverse engineering, and cryptography
Qualifications
  • Candidate must be experienced and strong in web application penetration testing
  • Candidate must be experienced in one of: Mobile or Thick-client Security, Automotive, Embedded, IoT, SCADA/OT, or Red Teaming
  • Software development (Java/C#/C++, C) and/or strong scripting experience required
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • Ability to present at conferences
  • Highly autonomous with the ability to operate with little to no supervision
  • Strong team player and technical innovator with the ability to build and leverage relationships across teams
  • Ability to create and maintain methodologies and process definitions
  • Experience developing, delivering and managing large consulting engagements
Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus
