Job Summary Our client is a leading Australian B2B fintech company that delivers embedded transactional funding solutions to small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs). Founded in 2015, they enable fast, flexible, and secure access to capital by integrating directly into existing platforms and workflows. With a focus on invoice financing, upfront commission payments, supplier payments, and business loans, our client empowers businesses to improve cash flow and drive growth. Their plug‑and‑play technology provides instant funding at the click of a button, with a seamless user experience and minimal disruption. Role We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with Fintech Industry experience who can work closely with the engineering team to deliver software testing best practices. Responsibilities Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios. Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test suites to validate software functionality. Utilize defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla to report and track issues. Participate in CI/CD pipelines, integrating testing suites to support continuous delivery. Conduct API testing using tools like Karate to verify backend functionalities. Maintain and update automated test scripts to adapt to changes in software features. Analyze test results and provide feedback to stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Contribute to improving testing processes and implementing best practices. Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across different environments and browsers. Support UAT and production release cycles, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal defects. Document test evidence and maintain traceability to requirements. Requirements Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in automation testing. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience in test plan development, test case creation, execution, and reporting. Familiarity with defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus, showcasing a commitment to quality assurance standards. Familiarity with automation scripting using Cypress and Selenium, with proven ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts. Experience with API testing using tools like Karate is an advantage. Proficient in using Cypress and WebdriverIO for front‑end and end‑to‑end test automation. Hands‑on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java‑based frameworks. Experience working in Agile environments, actively participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives. Skilled in using GitLab and Jenkins for CI/CD integration. Solid background in testing both web and mobile applications (Android and iOS). Additional Requirements Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing suites to support continuous integration. Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Knowledge of network message standards such as AS2805 or ISO standards. Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Figma, Miro, and Slack. Experience in financial services and fintech domain, with exposure to payment gateways, merchant platforms, and digital wallets. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a remote or hybrid work setup. Comfortable with fast‑paced startup environments and adapting to changing priorities.
