Overview

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our backend development team to design, build, and optimise ETL and streaming data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of scalable, efficient data pipelines and frameworks for end-to-end reporting and analytics.
  • Enhance pipelines to generate derived business metrics for real-time monitoring, alerting, and actionable insights.
  • Develop data workflows to support AI/ML model creation.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate data from internal and external systems, ensuring compatibility and accuracy.
  • Support strategies that maintain the highest levels of data quality and consistency.
  • Build proactive monitoring systems to ensure data reliability and identify potential issues.
  • Design efficient data storage and retrieval strategies to minimise overhead and maximise performance.
What you’ll bring (Qualifications)
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, orchestration, and architecture.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in relational databases.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (or equivalent languages).
  • Hands-on experience developing in Kubernetes environments.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with DBT.
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with digital advertising technologies.
  • Experience with Clickhouse.
  • Knowledge of Dagster.
  • Experience with Go.
