
Dean of Faculty

The Dean ensures all college activities are geared towards the satisfaction of the students/learners. He / She is as well responsible for conducting evaluation procedures to assess teaching performance of faculty members.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepares the schedule of courses to be offered for the term for presentation to the management for approval;
- Supervises all instructors and other faculty members handling courses in professional courses;
- Ensures that qualification and competence of all instructors in the College are up to the required standards;
- Recommends applicants for vacancies as instructor in the College;
- Assists the administration in conducting faculty evaluation;
- Recommends to the management the recruitment, retention, and separation of faculty members;
- Allocates teaching loads for all instructors handling subjects for professional courses;
- Facilitates the changing of course schedules due to conflict of time, room assignment, instructor’s availability, etc.;
- Assists the Admission and Registrar during enrollment in enhancing efficient submission of pertinent student records and documents required by the faculty;
- Enforces the submission of course specifications;
- Prepares and recommends faculty development program plans;
- Acts as the College’s assessor of competence of the graduating students;
- Reports directly to the School Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required :
- Candidate must possess a Master's Degree/Doctoral degrees (PhDs), in Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at college level
- Licensure: If applicable
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effective teaching and interaction with students and colleagues.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are needed for effective collaboration with students, faculty, and staff.
- Commitment to Teaching and Research: A passion for teaching and a commitment to ongoing professional development are also important.
