Warehouse Specialist

Job Description Job Responsibilities: Experience in Warehouse Operations: Typically, 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and handling stock. The experience should cover various warehouse tasks such as order picking, packing, dispatching. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Inventory Management System (IMS), which are used to track inventory levels, manage stock movement, and streamline warehouse processes, is highly valued. Experience in Forklift Operation (Optional): Some warehouse positions may require the operation of forklifts or other heavy equipment, so having experience or a forklift operator certification is a plus. Inventory Management: Strong skills in managing inventory, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular physical inventory counts, and ensuring proper storage of goods. Organization Skills: Ability to efficiently organize and manage goods in warehouse, ensuring that items are stored correctly and can be easily accessed when needed. Attention to Detail: Precision in inventory counts, checking deliveries, labeling, and organizing goods. Minimizing errors in stock levels and avoiding stock-outs or overstocking are essential. Computer Skills: Basic to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS), Inventory Management Systems (IMS), or similar tools for tracking inventory and managing logistics. Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, delays, and other operational challenges. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with warehouse teams, suppliers, and other departments like purchasing and logistics. Job Qualifications Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Preferred): A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields is typically preferred but not always mandatory. Some employers may accept candidates with associate degrees or technical courses in related fields if they have sufficient experience. Vocational or Technical Certification (Optional): For those without a formal bachelor's, vocational courses or certifications in Warehouse Management, Logistics, or Inventory Management can be beneficial.
