Head – Tax and Regulatory Reports Department (TRRD) JOB OBJECTIVE The position shall ensure and monitor 100% tax compliance of the bank with existing laws and regulations of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). It shall also be responsible for the timely submission of accurate reports to the BSP, SEC and other government overseeing body. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES TAX COMPLIANCE FUNCTION Oversees the operation of Tax Accounting Section and ensures each team members perform with high quality of work and efficiency. Reviews tax computations prepared by the Tax Analyst and facilitates the approval of its authorized signatories. Ensures tax remittances in close coordination with the concerned Departments/ Units are processed in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinates with Treasury the reviewed tax return report for budget allocation prior to online filing and payment of such. Reviews computation of Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) due prior to affixtures using eDST facility. Reviews year end tax compliance of the Bank on Local Government Unit (LGU) permits, annual alphalist, and other tax information returns prior to submission to BIR. Acts as liaison to BIR for tax compliance matters. Computes income tax of the bank based on the trial balance provided by the group. BSP REPORT'S FUNCTION Prepares and ensures timely submission of BSP reports which include weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports with 100% accuracy. Prepares accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual BSP Reports and submits it within the given deadline. Prepares draft of correspondences and letters to BSP if necessary. Initiates coordination with Compliance Group and the BSP for regulatory reports matters. Coordinates with the Compliance Group of the Bank for updates and issues regarding tax compliance. OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES Submits annual documentary requirements to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Prepares and submits required quarterly and semi-annual reports to PDIC. Accommodates requests of other agencies such as SBC, HGC, other banks. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Graduate of Accountancy from any reputable schools/universities. Must be a Certified Public Accountant. Minimum of two (5) years of work experience in Taxation or any similarly related post from top accounting firms. Proficient in tax, accounting standards and other regulatory compliance requirements. Good analytical and critical thinking skills; able to generate reports and provide analytics on the generated information. Proficient in MS Excel Applications.
