Overview Senior U.S. Tax Accountant We are seeking a highly skilled, client-facing Senior U.S. Tax Accountant to support a specialized CPA firm serving dental and healthcare professionals across the United States. This role involves complex tax review work, direct client interaction, tax planning, and oversight of junior team members. You’ll work closely with dental clients to provide proactive tax strategies and guidance on compliance, entity structure, and long-term financial planning. The ideal candidate has extensive U.S. tax experience, excellent English communication skills, and a confident, professional presence in client interactions. Proficiency in ProConnect is preferred. Job Details Job Type: Full-Time Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM PDT, with a 30-minute break Key Responsibilities Review individual and business tax returns, including S Corps, LLCs, partnerships, and sole proprietors Provide proactive tax planning strategies tailored to dental and healthcare clients Confidently serve as a client-facing advisor on tax matters, audits, IRS/state notices, and strategic planning Oversee and mentor junior and mid-level accountants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and monitor all key filing deadlines Represent clients in managing IRS and state correspondence, audits, and inquiries Recommend and implement improvements to tax workflows and documentation processes Stay current on U.S. tax law changes and deliver updates and training to internal team members Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus) CPA or EA certification required At least 5 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and planning Strong knowledge of small business taxation; experience with dental or healthcare clients is a plus Demonstrated ability to review and manage complex tax engagements Proficiency in ProConnect or other leading tax software Strong written and verbal English communication skills Confident and professional demeanor in client-facing conversations Highly organized, with strong leadership and project management abilities Experience in public accounting or tax advisory firms preferred Familiarity with remote tools like Slack, Zoom, and cloud-based systems is a plus Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
