Overview Position: Investment Operations Associate Working Hours: Full-Time 40 hrs per week, Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT Salary: USD (depending on experience and client’s final offer) Search: Philippines | South Africa Our founder has previously built multiple financial services and financial technology companies that have each grown to between dozens and thousands of employees. We expect significant growth at Structural, even if we do not reach the same scale as those prior ventures. We seek exceptional talent with ambition, smarts, and a distinct problem-solving ability. Many processes are new or evolving, and you may help develop them in the future. We value proposals based on current needs and capabilities of the latest technology, rather than past practices from prior employers. We do not overstate day-to-day responsibilities. As the most junior member of the team, you will perform a number of unglamorous, often repetitive tasks that are essential to our work. Excellence in execution is required, and we emphasize finding ways to remove manual steps or design processes that minimize errors as the team grows. Success in this role can lead to management responsibility supervising others in these tasks, or a more senior role within the investment function, or both. Responsibilities Trading & Fund Operations: Monitor and execute trades in small-dollar accounts during the daily trading window. Process capital calls, distributions, and fund notices. Reconcile bank statements and organize fund documents (K-1s, subscription documents, marketing materials, statements). Reporting & Analysis: Support reporting functions and fund performance summaries using Google Sheets, Excel, and third-party software. Review 3+ page performance reports and distill into clear, concise takeaways. Contribute to broader reporting and verification projects. Process & Systems Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify or automate repetitive tasks. Suggest and implement new tools or systems to improve efficiency. Growth & Development: Assist in evaluating potential investments and drafting investment memos for clients’ investment committees. Take on additional projects as workload and skills develop. What We Are Looking For Technically adaptable — able to quickly learn and use tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Word, PowerPoint, and AI platforms. Strong problem-solving ability, high intelligence, and attention to detail. Self-starter with an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong operational and analytical capacity, including task decomposition and performance tracking. Comfortable handling repetitive but critical tasks and improving processes. Available daily from 3-4 PM EST for trading execution. Plus (not required) Interest in Investments or Finance is welcome, but prior experience is not required. Relevant experience in finance, operations, or analytical roles is a plus. Note: We prioritize the processing of one application at a time.
