TDP Software Engineering Associate Optum is a global organization delivering health solutions through technology. As a Software Engineering Associate in the Talent Development Program (TDP), you will work on meaningful projects that directly improve health outcomes. Key Information Regarding Software Engineering The program begins with a four‑week in‑office onboarding bootcamp focused on building foundational skills, fostering community, and preparing you for success. After bootcamp, TDP Associates join their assigned teams and begin contributing to meaningful, real‑world projects aligned with business needs and personal interests. TDP Associates are expected to follow the hybrid work policy of their assigned office location after bootcamp; there is no full‑time telecommuting role. The start date for the 2026 cohort is July 28, 2026. Office location will be Metro Manila, Philippines. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Primary Responsibilities Engage in software engineering activities—including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance—to deliver high‑quality products. Evaluate and adopt new tools, techniques, and automation to improve efficiency and quality. Follow company policies and procedures, including any changes to work location, team assignment, or work environment. You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for potential future roles. Required Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, IT, or related field with at least 85 % average; no active backlogs. Currently in final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university. Experience with source‑control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub), IDEs, and CI/CD pipelines. Basic understanding of AI/ML/LLMs with demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C, SQL, .NET). Eligible to work in the Philippines without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Participation in technical activities, clubs, projects, or relevant employment experience. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong collaboration and communication skills in technical and cross‑functional teams.
