QA Engineer

Location: 1226 Makati City, National Capital Region iScale Solutions

This is a remote position.

iScale Solutions is currently looking for a QA Engineer. You will be working on challenging projects for EU & US start-ups using the latest technologies and agile software development practices. We work with well-funded startups and established companies to develop innovative, scalable and robust web applications. In this role, you will be part of the Engineering team, working with other Developers, QA and DevOps engineers, to help execute projects and make sure things are done well, on time. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with an extended team to build creative and robust software quality assurance and data integrity processes.
  • Participate in the complete lifecycle of product features: inception, design, development, deployment and optimization.
  • Test frontend and backend products, identifying bugs and deficiencies; verify data integrity across data pipelines in development and production.
  • Build and maintain policies and procedures for software QA and data integrity.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance and latency requirements and scale cost-effectively.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in testing software in a team-based environment.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to foresee potential issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve operational issues quickly.
  • Good project management abilities; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects under time constraints.
  • Experience working with frontend, backend developers, and data analysts to build and execute QA policies.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for automated tests.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
  • Knowledge of metrics and logging tools; browser-based UI/UX testing across devices (iOS/Android) and browsers (Chrome, Firefox).
  • Ability to inspect web applications (network API calls, performance, DOM inspection) and some experience with headless testing (Mocha) and testing suites (Puppeteer, Selenium).
  • Ability to document policies and procedures thoroughly; strong communication skills.
