Financial Planning Analyst

About the Role The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for planning, forecasting and analyzing activities that support the company's major business decisions and overall financial health. What you'll be doing Perform monthly detailed analysis on project and business performance and various KPIs including cost controlling, project break even, working capital, backlog, margins, cost allocations, resourcing, utilizations, projects costs, currency impacts. Drive deviation analysis, reporting and explanations of variances. Proactively propose actions to improve project and business performance. Input to business development and support in analysis of Pipeline and Sales forecasting. Working capital monitor and coordinate effort towards cash management, - Propose, drive and push business on mitigating actions to drive down working capital. Perform root cause analysis (including Staff Costs, Margins, Billing Ratio/Non- Productive time). Develop financial models and analyse periodic financials, monitor key performance indicators/trends, and provide explanations of key variances. Ensure data is aligned across all systems and perform reconciliations where required. Ad hoc financial reporting as required. Build a close working relationship with business leaders (stakeholders) and provide in depth analysis to assist in decision making. What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Strong academic background with a relevant degree, Pass Finalist/Qualified ACA/CIMA or another relevant professional qualification in finance Proven commercial finance / business partnering experience within a consultancy (Architecture, Engineering or Project Management consultancy experience is beneficial but not required). Comfortable at working in a complex structure. Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. Good understanding of project accounting / financial / management accounting principles. Robust analytical & modelling skills particularly using Power BI, Excel, SQL. Experience with Group ERP systems (Deltek beneficial but not required). Able to prioritize and work to tight deadlines. Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills. Good presentation skills. Flexibility and adaptability to engage with relevant stakeholders at all levels of the Business; remaining objective and preserving a strong sense of commercial awareness. Strong business judgment and good instincts. Able to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively. Ability to understand complex processes.
