Sustainable Finance Manager

Overview SGV & Co. National Capital Region, Philippines. We are looking for a Sustainable Finance Manager to join our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS), focusing on Sustainable Finance and Transition Risk. In this role, you will manage key projects, build networks, and consult on important strategic issues while collaborating with top professionals in the field. You will also contribute to research and development to enhance our expertise in sustainable finance and transition risk management. You\'ll have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge topics such as: Sustainable Finance strategy, including climate change risk modeling and scenario analysis Reporting and disclosure standards, such as TCFD and ISSB Principles of Responsible Banking, Investment, and Sustainable Insurance Sustainable Finance regulatory developments and lobbying efforts Responsible and impact investment, along with ESG research and integration Advisory and assurance for labeled bonds, loans, and measuring long-term value aligned with Sustainable Development Goals Responsibilities Assist in delivering key projects for clients across various topics and contribute to thought leadership. Create innovative insights and adapt methods to enhance operational efficiency and meet team needs. Drive projects to completion, ensuring industry-leading quality and addressing risks proactively. Lead teams or parts of teams on engagements, focusing on risk identification and issue escalation. Foster a positive learning culture through coaching and mentoring junior team members. Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and geographies to enhance SGV capabilities and client engagement. Job Qualifications Strong educational background in quantitative/ finance/ economics (Accountancy, Economics, Business Management, Management of FI, etc.) Gained at least 8 years’ relevant work experience in any of the following areas: Environmental and social risk management and/or sustainable finance, particularly in banking, insurance or wealth and asset management Financial risk management : Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Reputational Risk, Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk Management, and Strategic Risk Quantitative modeling : credit risk rating models, Value at Risk, economic capital models, Liquidity Risk models, stress testing, RAROC Understanding and experience bank and financial institution processes (e.g., credit life cycle, trading, asset-liability management) Risk policies and procedures in credit, market, operational risks Prudential and financial regulations as mandated by the BSP (Basel 3 or Solvency 2, ICAAP, CAR, LCR, NSFR, regulatory reporting, recovery and resolution planning) Experience in a project-based, team-oriented consulting environment with a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced settings, utilizing analytical and risk management tools, and demonstrating strong planning, execution, and reporting skills. Ideally, you also have: Strong desire to develop quantitative and qualitative skills in climate risk management and sustainability, along with a passion for learning. Functional knowledge of statistical, analytic, and numerical techniques, with experience in developing methods and conducting research. Proven leadership and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by professional certifications (FRM, CFA, CPA, SCR).
