Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Quality Assurance Industries Banking Job Summary The Senior Test Automation Engineer will sit in the Technology Strategy & Architecture Team. This role involves developing and implementing automated testing solutions and providing end-to-end testing services for initiatives within the bank. The focus will be on aligning these solutions with the overall technology roadmap to ensure the robustness and scalability of software systems. Responsibilities Strategy: Understand the Bank’s DevOps strategy and implement automation solutions to improve the software delivery pipeline. Business: Engage broadly with application delivery teams across the bank, helping them adopt DevOps pipeline solutions to improve delivery efficiency and maturity. Processes: Understand the bank’s software delivery processes and implement solutions in line with the bank’s compliance and security requirements. People & Talent: Work collaboratively with a team of diverse engineers in sprint delivery, produce technical documentation, prepare training materials, and conduct briefing/training sessions to application delivery teams to help them get onboarded and accelerate adoption. Risk Management: Understand the bank’s risk management framework and embed that into the technology solution being delivered. Governance: Understand the bank’s software delivery & quality assurance framework and assist in solutioning in respective governance activities. Regulatory & Business Conduct: Display exemplary conduct, live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct. Key Stakeholders: Collaborate with the Head, Engineering Excellence & DevOps and Delivery Leads. Qualifications Senior Test Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience. Passion for quality delivery, agile and automation in all its dimensions. Solid track record of software delivery, solution design and stakeholder management. Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile delivery practices, disciplined approach to planning, execution, and reporting. Hands‑on experience in Java or an alternative language such as .NET. Proficiency in additional languages such as JavaScript, C/C++, Python is a strong plus. Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium/Appium, and WireMock. Proven expertise in BDD and ability to write and maintain feature files mapped to business requirements. Experience in DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Ansible. Experience with cloud services such as AWS EC2 and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. Strong SQL skills for database validation, data integrity checks, and comparison testing. Proven expertise in BDD and ability to write and maintain feature files mapped to business requirements. Elegant, maintainable code design and implementation. Experience in DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Ansible. Experience with cloud services (AWS EC2) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of data concepts and structures. Strong SQL skills for database validation and data integrity checks.
