Mobile (React Native) and Web Developer (Remote)

As a Mobile (React Native) and Web Developer proficient in vanilla DHTML and Svelte, you will play a key role in the development of innovative features and the seamless maintenance of our company's web and mobile applications. Your expertise with diverse technologies will be essential in ensuring the continuous enhancement of these platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and developing highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems for both web and mobile applications using React Native and XCode (70% mobile and 30% web development and maintenance activities)
  2. Deploying script automation via Groovy/Bash on Jenkins
  3. Handling platform-specific troubleshooting for mobile OS upgrade concerns (e.g., XCode, Android)
  4. Collaborating with project team members and stakeholders on web and mobile projects from planning to post-deployment support and monitoring
  5. Writing extensible, scalable, reliable, well-structured, and efficient code while being mindful of performance requirements
  6. Creating, maintaining, and running unit tests for both new and existing code, with the goal of delivering well-tested code to QA
  7. Refactoring legacy code to comply with current requirements and modern best practices
  8. Developing and implementing highly responsive UI components using React concepts
  9. Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application code
  10. Ensuring that all web pages and application user interfaces render correctly (both visually and functionally) across all platforms and devices
  11. Ensuring all code is well-commented, readable, and follows W3C standards
  12. Providing estimates and creating technical documentation as requested
  13. Keeping up to date on best practices and new technologies
  14. Performing other web development responsibilities as needed

Qualifications include:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Web and Mobile Development
  • Experience in Agile development processes, accommodating changes, and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Technical knowledge of software design and quality tools and practices
  • A proven track record of creating and maintaining top-performing websites
  • In-depth experience with JavaScript and React concepts
  • Proficiency in:
    • XHTML/HTML5, PHP, CSS/CSS3, SASS/LESS
    • Git for version control
    • jQuery, AJAX, Velocity, DOM manipulation
    • Gulp
    • React Native
