Product Engineer

Overview Position: Product Engineer. Employment type: Full-time. Work setup: Onsite, Megatower, Ortigas. Responsibilities Execute Global External Manufacturing projects, including strategy, relationship management, supply continuity, change/design control, product introductions, and cost savings. Engage with PH branded products produced by external contract manufacturers, handling Design Change procedures, technical files, specifications, and related documentation. Address product supply issues to ensure supply flow continuity. Develop internal processes to streamline workflows and create tools that increase team efficiency. Collaborate with external manufacturers to align continuity with product specifications and standard business practices. Coordinate new product introductions in the supply chain with contract manufacturers, setting desired planning and demand parameters. Review product design and implementation for compliance with company standards, customer contracts, and related specifications (including Design Control). Coordinate and manage testing as required for externally manufactured PH specification products. Complete technical aspects of Product Engineering projects (e.g., DFMEA, ISO Testing, Environmental/Conditional testing, regulatory compliance). Assist in developing key performance metrics for contract manufacturers and in financial measurement frameworks to drive business performance. Integrate supply chain best practices and continuous improvement processes to support growth and evolution. Identify and resolve problems related to externally manufactured products under PH specification. Assist in establishing, managing, and executing inventory strategy with Supply Chain and Sourcing to drive improvements in inventory and control. Ensure on-time delivery metrics, minimize supply disruptions, and shorten artwork or branding transition times. Participate in business meetings to evaluate and prioritize project opportunities, representing the technical perspective. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external providers through written and verbal communication. Cross-train with Package Engineering to manage projects more broadly beyond product aspects. Engage with and learn basic packaging/labeling/graphics elements to support successful design change execution. Assist in packaging development aspects such as labels, instructions, and regulatory markings. Engage in Unique Device Identifier (UDI) and Global Trade Identification Number (GTIN) allocation and development. Prepare reports and analyses (e.g., break-even analysis, MOQ vs. EOQ analysis, ROI analysis, inventory transition cost analysis). Monitor emerging materials, processes, and technologies through suppliers and industry publications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related Science 5+ years of Engineering or product design or specification development experience 3+ years of Project Management experience Ability to read, interpret, and generate product drawings and specifications Product sourcing experience with understanding of the product life cycle Excellent communication skills to internal resources and customers Experience working with FDA and/or EUDAMED regulated medical devices Solid foundation in GS-1 / UDI / GUDI / barcode procedures and guidelines ERP systems experience (Microsoft Dynamics and/or NetSuite) Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint About the Client Creating Healthier Futures Through Science and Innovation.
