Background

Fenics Market Data ("FMD") is the exclusive distributor of data for BGC Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:BGC) and its affiliates ("BGC Group Entities"), a leading global brokerage group of companies servicing the financial markets through brands including BGC, GFI, RP Martin, Continental Capital Markets, Amerex, Aurel BGC, Aurel, Sunrise, Remate, Radix, Trident, BGC Liquidez, Poten & Partners, Ginga and Perimeter Markets. The BGC Group offers customers access to more than 200 financial products within fixed income securities, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange, equities, equity derivatives, credit derivatives, commercial real estate, commodities, futures, and structured products. Fenics Market Data captures and curates observable, indicative, and Level 2 (Order/Trade) data across BGC and relevant products to create comprehensive data packages. BGC provides in-depth insight into the global OTC markets. The Fenics Market Data Operations group is responsible for operational initiatives, development and execution; data quality, data integrity and data distributions for our voice, hybrid and electronically traded brokering products. The group also provides support for business development, sales and strategic vendor engagements as well as primary ongoing product issues.

Objective of this role

As a Pricing Analyst within Fenics Market Data, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing evaluated pricing models across multiple asset classes. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and robustness of evaluated data. This role is suited to candidates with a solid grounding in financial markets and data analytics who are ready to take on greater responsibility. You will have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills, contribute to pricing methodology enhancements, and work closely with quantitative analysts, developers, and product specialists.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain evaluated pricing models for a wide range of financial instruments, with an initial focus on Bonds & Fixed Income before expanding to Interest Rate Swaps, Foreign Exchange, Equities, Commodities, and Precious Metals.
• Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies, ensuring models reflect current market conditions.
• Contribute to enhancements in pricing methodologies and support the rollout of new evaluation models.

Data Analysis & Quality

• Analyse real-time and historical market data to identify irregularities, trends, and opportunities for model improvement.
• Support the development of monitoring processes that safeguard data quality and timeliness.
• Document evaluation processes clearly and contribute to knowledge transfer across global teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with quantitative analysts, developers, and product managers on pricing and product initiatives.
• Liaise with client services to provide technical support on evaluated pricing queries.
• Actively participate in team discussions on methodology improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Financial Markets Expertise:
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of financial products and OTC markets – including Energy, Commodities & Shipping, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, and Equity markets.
  • Understanding of pricing and valuation principles, with the eagerness to learn and apply more advanced techniques.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg or Refinitiv highly valued.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
• Organizational Skills:
  • Well-organised and proactive, with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with market data vendors and platforms, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv.
• Exposure to Python or other programming languages.
• Experience handling data from databases or APIs.
• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
