Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and reporting functions of the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide financial insights to senior management, and contribute to strategic decision-making to support the organization’s growth and financial objectives. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial performance assessments to identify key drivers, trends, and areas for improvement. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting activities, journal entries, and reconciliations. Coordinate with accounting team members and departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies. Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed to ensure audit readiness and compliance. Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, working closely with department heads and senior management to align financial goals with business objectives. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management for course correction and resource allocation. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and streamlining of accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to optimize financial operations and reporting capabilities. Participate in financial projects and initiatives, such as system implementations, mergers and acquisitions, and business expansions, providing financial expertise and support as needed. Conduct financial due diligence, perform financial analysis, and contribute to decision-making processes to support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a finance team. Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role is largely sedentary, with the need to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and headset.
