The Role - Provides strong architecture expertise to ensure that the Azure Architecture supports and aligns with business initiatives and technology strategy. Drives the creation and implementation of architecture standards in a complex environment.

- Engages Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering to ensure that overall Azure Architecture is inclusive of all stakeholder viewpoints and is vetted to ensure that artifacts support, reflect, advance, and integrate as intended.

- Provides architecture design recommendations based on organization strategy develops technical architecture and establishes standards and guidelines for the design of technology solutions.

- Strategically analyzes the risks, benefits, and opportunities associated with a technology solution.

- Responsible for the introduction of new technologies in Azure, examining the impact on WTW and EX and W&R.

- Assure EX and W&R Azure architecture protects all forms of highly confidential and proprietary business information and ability to maintain the highest standards of privacy and security.

- Research, document, and train on EX and W&R Azure architecture - Liaise with CIT, Cloud Enablement, and Information Security on interoperability of on-premise and Azure environments and security.

- In EX and W&R's Azure subscription(s).

- Ability to follow and abide by all information and security policies and practices.

- General understanding of information security governance best practices.

- Understanding of common information security compliance requirements.

- Experience implementing network security controls, such as firewall rules and ACLs.

- Experience defining and implementing security baseline configurations for networking equipment.

- Basic understanding of encryption technologies and their use in security practices.

- Understanding of system administration security best practices.

- Understand, document and train.

- Azure Application Firewalls, Network Security Groups, on-premise and Azure hybrid networking, Scripted infrastructure.

The Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical discipline is required; an advanced degree is a plus
• Minimum 8 years experience as a practicing architect with 5 years experience in an enterprise architect function
• Strong knowledge of datacenters - Practical experience designing and building enterprise and/or distributed systems with an emphasis on server, storage, and network
• Previous experience with capacity planning for all levels (Network, Storage, Systems)
• Must demonstrate experience in building highly scalable, economically feasible, and high-performing systems and infrastructure
• Some level of formal training in Enterprise Architecture is required. Experience with architecture modeling tools is a plus.
• Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at the CxO level, as well as architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels.
• Exemplary relationship skills and a track record of being a trusted advisor, facilitator, and negotiator.
• Great time management and a passion for making commitments happen.

Work with the engineering team to configure, support, monitor, and improve the security posture of our Big Data platform, and Cloud infrastructure

• Research and implement security-focused tools to defend our infrastructure & applications from risks

• Ensure that security requirements and considerations are woven into the development of each system

• Design security controls for an "infrastructure as code" service model

• Improve the signal to noise ratio from alerts, and work with DevOps to generate meaningful events

• Perform routine security posture assessments of the infrastructure, and build a resolution plan around any deficiencies/areas for improvement

• Develop and maintain the security architecture diagrams

• Participate in on-call rotation, respond to alerts, troubleshoot and resolve problems

• Weigh-in on, and drive, the designing and engineering of security solutions across the business

• Create and automate security controls in an Agile, CI/CD environment

• Assist developers in static, dynamic, and opensource code analysis

• Drive creation and collection of the information security KPIs

• Develop training and educational literature to educate enterprise workforce on best practices

• Supports the designing, testing, and implementation of complex security solutions to meet security and regulatory requirements for cloud environments

• Consults with development and operational teams to securely design applications and services following industry best practices

Requirements: Experience in at least a Public Cloud (AWS or GCP); Knowledge of information security, risk management, and data privacy within a cloud environment and consumer-facing applications; Knowledge of security capabilities and constraints related to deploying cloud native and multi-cloud applications and infrastructure; Good Understanding of firewalls, threat prevention and detection, and application security principles; Good understanding of applied cryptography and Public Key Infrastructures (PKI); Good understanding of identity management, user authentication and authorization principles; Demonstrated technical competency in security engineering based on hands-on experience or relevant qualifications; Demonstrated effectiveness working in a multi-timezone environment; Ability to develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organization boundaries; BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience; AWS-certified security engineers will be highly preferred

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Elastic Kubernetes System (EKS) or similar container orchestration tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools such as Elastic Kubernetes System (EKS), Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
