Electrical or Civil Engineer (Transmission and Substation) Join to apply for the Electrical or Civil Engineer (Transmission and Substation) role at Vena Group The TLSS Specialist will work closely with the Solar Construction Team, Technical Services Team, O&M Team, BD Team, HSSE Team and other external stakeholders such as consultants and EPC contractors to oversee the construction, QA/QC/HSSE compliance monitoring, punch-listing, test and commissioning of the solar project. It is expected that he will be handling multiple engineering disciplines simultaneously. Responsibilities HSSE management: follow Project Company's HSSE performance in coordination with site HSE Manager in order to analyse periodically EPC Contractors implementation of HSSE management Carry out inspection and check for all quality-related procedures in the construction of the HV Facility and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity related to the substation, transmission line, secondary control and protection system, AC/DC system, and grounding installation. Must have knowledge of substation and transmission line installation and commissioning Supervise the effective implementation of tests procedure, inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality check and audit on processes Review the quality of all materials at the manufacturing site and construction side to ensure compliance with project technical specification Management of punch list items and ensure timely and effective rectification works Maintain knowledge on QAQC standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for substation, transmission line, AC/DC cabling and EBOP related works Verify contractor and supplier quality requirements are specified during contractor documentation submittals Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents Maintain knowledge database of all quality standards related to electrical engineering works and ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers Review design requirements, plans and specifications for constructability and risk management Plan, coordinate with contractors and review TL routing/survey campaigns Prepare and review reports, proposals, BOQ and cost estimates for EBOP related activities Attend meetings with clients, consultants and EPC contractors to coordinate and supervise various TL/SS design activities Manage substation, transmission line pole/tower, EPC contractors/designers as the case may be, including necessary workshops, and proper 3rd party review to ensure suitable designs in accordance with company interests Perform other related duties as assigned Pre-requisites Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering and Licensed Electrical or Civil Engineer More than 5 years in substation and transmission line construction Construction Management, TL/SS, QA/QC HSSE Thorough understanding of PEC, IEEE/IEC substation and transmission line standards Proficiency with computer software (i.e. AutoCAD, etc.) is desirable Experience on construction QA/QC is a plus Knowledgeable on NGCP and Meralco standards Experience on grid integration and substation test and commissioning EPC or OE experience on solar project is a plus Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Project Management Industries Renewable Energy Power Generation Electric Power Generation Electric Power Transmission, Control, and Distribution We are not including referral prompts or notifications in the refined description. #J-18808-Ljbffr
