Responsibilities
  • A field recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring candidates for specific job roles by actively engaging with potential candidates in the field. They work outside the traditional office setting, often attending job fairs, networking events, and visiting various locations or organizations to find the best candidates for job openings. Their role involves building relationships with potential hires, understanding job requirements, and ensuring that candidates are a good fit for the company’s needs.
  • Sourcing Candidates: Actively seek out and engage potential candidates by attending job fairs, recruitment events, community outreach programs, and utilizing local networking channels.
  • Screening Candidates: Conduct initial interviews, assess resumes, and evaluate qualifications to determine if candidates meet the job requirements.
  • Building Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with local organizations, educational institutions, and other entities to build a pipeline of potential candidates.
Qualifications
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is often preferred, though experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Experience: Previous experience in recruitment or human resources is typically required, especially experience in a field or on-site recruitment role.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships and network with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple recruitment efforts at once, maintain accurate records, and handle scheduling efficiently.
