Responsibilities Confirms and verifies all deals done with counter party through phone, email, mail, SWIFT or sending system generated confirmation Checks and verifies that deals are in compliance of the approved counterparty limits and ensures approval documents concerning over limit and/or exception are on file Processes payments for each deal done either through PVP, RTGS/PhilpassPlus (for local peso deals and fund transfers), PCD (for settlements through our Citibank-PDDTS account including fund transfers), and SWIFT (for cross boarders payments using our NY account including fund transfers). May also include manual processing using various application forms as required by other banks or counterparties Follow up unsettled claims/cases, if any, with counterparties Maintain records of treasury deals Inform treasury front-office and monitors all outstanding deals maturing today or near future date Check the outstanding deals, foreign exchange positions and profit and loss estimated against those that appear in the books Monitors the collection of interest and principal for Agrarian Reform Bonds/notes Process and monitors investment in private and government securities, if any Prepares SWIFT messages/confirmations and check counterparty confirmations Update Money Market and Foreign Exchange utilization report Prepares treasury accounting entries in the IFX system or book in applicable treasury system Prepares treasury related reports when necessary Provide front-office and check clearing results, related SWIFT balances/messages, PhilpassPlus/RTGS balances, various bank balances including PDDTS and nostro accounts from time to time Job Requirements Must have a Bachelor’s degree major in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or any equivalent With at least 5-7 years of work experience in a banking industry; experience in a foreign bank is an advantage Competency in MS Office, databases and treasury/accounting software Treasury Certification Program license holder is an advantage Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cathay United Bank by 2x Get notified about new Treasury Specialist jobs in Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines . #J-18808-Ljbffr
