Procurement Officer

Overview Projexasia Construction Corporation is hiring a Procurement Officer (Construction) based in Clark, Pampanga. We are looking for someone honest, organized, and experienced in sourcing and purchasing materials for construction/fit-out projects. Role Summary Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services in accordance with project specifications, budget requirements, and company procurement and sustainability policies. Ensures timely delivery and compliance with quality and safety standards to support ongoing construction operations. Key Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors through research, trade shows, industry networks, and market analysis. Review material and service requisitions from project sites and ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements. Prepare and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and bid requests in accordance with company procedures. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value while maintaining quality standards. Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with delivery, safety, and quality requirements. Coordinate closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, warehouse teams, and site engineers to meet project timelines. Maintain updated records of supplier credentials, price lists, delivery receipts, and warranty documentation. Oversee materials logistics, including coordination with warehouse and logistics personnel for delivery and inspection. Handle returns, replacements, and warranty claims for damaged or nonconforming materials. Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company social sustainability, ethical sourcing, and environmental policies. Prepare regular procurement status reports and cost summaries for management review. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field. Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role within the construction or fit-out industry. Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and sourcing practices. Proficiency in supplier evaluation, bid analysis, and contract negotiation. Excellent coordination and communication skills with technical and commercial teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel (pivot tables, cost tracking, and report preparation). Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines. Works collaboratively with technical, commercial, and site teams to achieve project goals. Upholds transparency and ethical standards in all procurement dealings.
