Senior Embedded Software Engineer Booth Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines The Senior Software Engineer plays a key role in designing a wide range of commercial cooking equipment. The engineer has the opportunity to be involved with implementing and supporting new products, product improvements, product enhancements, customization, solving customer‑related problems, creating new processes, and assisting other engineers or engineering disciplines. The engineer will also design extensions to current product lines to meet the needs of a diverse customer base, and will find creative solutions to application problems that arise on both new and mature products. Key Skills and Responsibilities Planning & Organizing – Set priorities, establish objectives and milestones, estimate times, schedule activities, and allocate resources. Innovation/Creative – Generate novel solutions, gather diverse ideas, and apply existing knowledge in new ways. Team Leadership – Manage meetings, promote team effectiveness, set a good example, and ensure tasks are completed. Decision Making/Problem Solving – Define decision criteria, evaluate alternatives, and weigh pros/cons. Delegation – Assign responsibilities, provide resources, and oversee completion. Accountabilities – Work on complex, ill‑defined projects with limited supervision; conduct reviews; analyze complex system issues; assist in requirements creation and technical feasibility studies; design system requirements and technical specifications; estimate costs, resources, and time; verify specs and prototypes; collaborate with team members; and pursue continuous skill and product knowledge improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. 7+ years engineering experience. Intermediate experience with source control and Eclipse‑based development tools. Comfortable developing/implementing bootloaders, low‑level drivers, libraries, and BSPs. Expert in C/C++. Advanced experience with state machines. Advanced knowledge of interrupts and how they work. Excellent understanding of Boolean and hexadecimal math. Strong understanding of multitasking, debugging, digital and analog electronics, and microprocessor internals. Strong knowledge of RTOS and/or embedded Linux. Advanced ability to develop and debug code for timers, PWM, RTC, PID. Excellent understanding of UART/USART, RS232, RS485, Modbus, CAN, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, Flash, EEPROM, and ADC/DAC. Ability to read and understand schematics.
