Responsibilities
  • Enhance and contribute strategies, tools, and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report risks in the financial services sector.
  • Build predictive models around risk industry, sub-sector, and geo-location leveraging data.
  • Develop and deliver complete web applications using Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs.
  • Interpret evidence from multiple tools and systems to determine the legitimacy of customer behavior.
  • Undertake capital forecasting and stress testing exercises to assess impacts on impairment forecasts and risk appetite metrics.
  • Write robust code in Python, Java, and R.
  • Monitor the risk control environment to ensure exposures are kept at acceptable levels and consult on risk mitigation plans.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis on portfolios to uncover risk trends.
  • Assist in designing and developing data ingestion and processing code using Python or PySpark.
Requirements
  • Must have 2-10 years of experience in risk analysis, data modeling, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Apache Spark, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, AWS, and Python is required.
  • Experience in Java or Python programming languages is essential.
  • Strong skills in scripting with Python, shell, C#, or Java, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration and UI automation tools including Selenium and Appium.
  • Knowledge of back-end programming with languages like Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Excellent coding skills in Python, R, and Spark interfaces like PySpark and Sparklyr.
  • Experience with statistical packages and tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, SciPy, or OpenCV.
  • Familiarity with SQL, database management, and application support.
  • Ability to work with different statistical techniques such as regression, boosting, and decision trees.
  • Strong experience in data profiling, data engineering, data visualization, and data handling using Python and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux shell scripting, CSS, and JS.
  • Independence to execute business projects based on innovative ideas.
  • Exposure to different business functions within the fintech industry.
  • Experience in developing unit tests and automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one web development language, primarily Python or JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages like Java, Ruby, and Python.

Please note that a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with financial institutions or analytics functions will be advantageous. The ideal candidate should also have excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
