Assistant Editor – Subject Areas Filipino Science (Medical / Nursing / Allied Health) Minor Subjects ABM / HUMSS / STEM PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assumes full accountability for the output and sustainability of the subject area, including: Quality of projects aligned with Instructional Design Team standards (curriculum compliance, instructional design framework, writing style, originality). Timely completion per the Division Head’s roadmap. Efficient management of supplies, budget, and other resources. Edits for publication and signs off titles, ensuring transmitted proofs meet prescribed specifications and quality standards (accuracy, completeness, design, grammar, punctuation). Assists in revising/rewriting manuscript portions as needed for structured development of ideas, submitting them for review by the Associate Instructional Designer or Instructional Design Manager. Troubleshoots minor setbacks, issues, or concerns that may delay or lower quality, and escalates major issues to immediate superior. Provides support to the Associate Instructional Designer and Instructional Design Manager in editorial functions and performs necessary clerical tasks for assigned projects. Coordinates with Illustrators, Layout Artists, Art Directors, and the Digital Technology Unit to ensure timely and proper completion. Safekeeps and organizes all materials related to projects in the unit. Stays updated with latest trends in print and e-learning resources through research and development. Keeps abreast of print and e-learning products of C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions. Performs other related functions as assigned by immediate superior. QUALIFICATION GUIDES Education: Must hold a BSEd/BEEd/BS/AB degree in the required subject area. Experience: Preferably at least 2 years of related work experience in educational publishing or an academic institution. Skills: Strong knowledge base in the required subject area. Good writing and editing skills. Excellent research and fact‑checking skills. Proficient in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, slide presentations). Ability to prioritize multiple projects, handle large workloads, and meet tight deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills.
