Quality Test Engineer TALENTMATE – Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines Job Description: The Quality Test Engineer is primarily responsible for the planning, design, and execution of manual and automated test scripts. This role works closely with senior managers, product analysts, developers, and other Quality Test Engineers/Analysts. Key duties include end‑to‑end quality control and assurance activities: understanding product requirements, developing test plans and cases, executing tests, reporting defects, and creating test data. Key Accountabilities Understand product requirements and develop test plans, tests, and data Create and execute test scripts (manual and automated), analyze and record results Support maintenance activities and product deliveries Ensure adequate test coverage Identify defects/anomalies, investigate root causes, document and track them Assist teammates in resolving technical issues Improve QA processes and quality standards Recommend improvements or corrections to developers or system analysts Collaborate with developers, product owners, and the test team to complete testing tasks Maintain high quality and accuracy throughout the software release cycle Provide feedback to the development team and ensure work meets schedule and quality requirements Determine suitable testing tools to maximize coverage Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree holder At least 3 years QA Engineering experience Experience with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Grid, Cucumber BDD, Maven, HP QTP/UFT, VB Script (QTP) and JavaScript Knowledge of Java, Python, VB, SQL, stored procedures, and triggers Experience creating test frameworks with the above technologies Experience using GitLab/GitHub for source control and development Proven test plan creation, test case design, review, execution, defect management, and test reporting Proficient with Zephyr for test planning, execution and defect tracking Experience testing SOAP services and tools such as ReadyAPI/SoapUI Pro Strong knowledge of the SDLC and agile technologies, CI/CD, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure) Good verbal and written communication, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources Experience with security testing (e.g., Burp Suite) Understanding of the Windows Server ecosystem Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins) and scripting languages Logical, detail‑oriented, and able to absorb and apply technical information rapidly Experience in Big Data environments is a plus Shift Requirement Must be willing to work a night shift (10 am–6 pm) Must follow the BU holiday (US) schedule Job Details Role Level: Mid‑Level Work Type: Full‑Time Country: Philippines City: Quezon City, National Capital Region Company Website: Job Function: Quality Assurance & Control Industry: Technology – Information and Media About the Company TALENTMATE provides a platform connecting jobseekers with employers, offering services such as searching, interviewing and hiring.
