Responsibilities
  • Work with an extended team of developers to build creative and unique ways of ensuring software quality and data integrity.
  • Participate in the complete lifecycle of product features: inception, design, development, deployment and optimization.
  • Test frontend and backend products, identifying bugs and deficiencies; verify data integrity across data pipelines in development and production.
  • Build policies and procedures for software quality assurance and data integrity; provide technical and group leadership to team members as applicable.
  • Test and validate web applications, APIs and data workflows; perform thorough regression testing and issue tracking.
  • Inspect web applications for performance (memory/cpu), network API calls, DOM elements, and file/bundle size considerations; perform browser-based UI/UX testing across devices (iOS, Android) and browsers.
  • Utilize scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.) to write automated tests; work with Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization; leverage metrics and logging tools.
  • Engage in headless testing (Mocha, Puppeteer, Selenium) and maintain thorough documentation of policies and results.
Qualifications (general)
  • 2-5 years of experience testing software in a team-based environment (for mid-level roles).
  • Great attention to detail; ability to foresee potential issues.
  • Ability to resolve operational issues through quick thinking, problem solving, and appropriate action.
  • Good project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects under time constraints.
  • Experience working with frontend developers, backend developers, and data analysts—building and executing quality assurance policies.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for automated tests.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization.
  • Knowledge of metrics and logging tools; browser-based UI/UX testing across devices and browsers.
  • Ability to inspect web applications (network API calls, performance, DOM, etc.); experience with headless testing (Mocha) and testing suites (Puppeteer, Selenium).
  • Building policies and procedures with thorough documentation; strong communication skills.
Senior / Automation-focused qualifications
  • Senior QA Automation Engineer: 8+ years of experience with UI automation tools (e.g., Selenium), API automation, Jenkins.
  • Experience with Python; knowledge of robot automation framework is highly desirable; experience with data validation using Snowflake, Hive, or AWS Athena is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Git workflows, Agile testing methodologies, web application testing (frontend and backend), and container-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Elasticsearch, SQL/NoSQL databases (Aerospike, Thrift, etc.), CI, and AWS is highly desirable.
