JEG Tower, Archbishop Reyes, Corner Acacia St., Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, 6000 Cebu Key Responsibilities Accurately record and classify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts and disbursements. Assist in the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation and timely payments. Prepare and send basic customer invoices and track payments. Assist in cash advance processing and liquidation. Assist with bank reconciliations by matching bank statements to internal records. Manage petty cash and ensure accurate documentation. Maintain organized and accurate records in our accounting system (e.g. Xero). Organize and maintain financial documents, both physical and electronic. Assist the Senior Bookkeeper with various tasks, including preparing reports, assisting with payroll preparation, and data analysis. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory reports in compliance with Philippine tax regulations. Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding invoices, payments, and other financial matters. Ensure adherence to basic accounting procedures and internal controls. Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as required to support the finance function. Identify and implement improvements to bookkeeping processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration (with a focus on Accounting), or any related field. Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, local Philippine accounting software) is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for basic data entry and organization. Good attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks effectively. Basic understanding of Philippine tax regulations and payroll procedures is a plus. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions. Must be residing in or willing to commute to Cebu City, Philippines. Open to local travel as needed. Skills Technical: Basic Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Accounts Payable (basic), Accounts Receivable (basic), Bank Reconciliation (assistance), Filing, Basic understanding of Accounting Software.
