About The Opportunity

The Payroll Specialist II is responsible for processing end-to-end payroll for Australia/New Zealand.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including payroll changes, tax forms, payments, and processing for assigned clients
  • Perform quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error rates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employee inquiries, providing ongoing daily support and subject matter expertise
  • Provide HR/Payroll support to clients according to Ceridian contracts, government compliance and business needs
  • Create, update and review standard operating procedures and perform quarterly document reviews
  • Own deliverables and projects from start to finish
  • Manage client and consumer tasks within the task management system, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
  • Proactively manage quarter and year-end payroll auditing
  • Think ahead, identify opportunities and drive process improvements
  • Aim to become a Subject Matter Expert in the process
  • Drive customer satisfaction by delivering high quality service
  • Be an effective team player and proactively highlight risks
  • Meet or exceed process KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure complaints are managed to a resolution
  • Record key delivery data for metrics
  • Deliver tasks in accordance with schedules, procedures, and standards
  • Seek and respond to development feedback
Skills And Experience We Value
  • College Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting/taxation, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Knowledge of Australia and/or New Zealand payroll is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times and prioritize competing demands
  • Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
  • Process and detail oriented; able to multi-task
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
