Job Summary:

Our client is a leading Australian B2B fintech company that provides embedded transactional funding solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Founded in 2015, they enable fast, flexible, and secure access to capital by integrating directly into existing platforms and workflows.

Focusing on invoice financing, upfront commissions, supplier payments, and business loans, our client helps businesses improve cash flow and grow. Their plug-and-play technology offers instant funding with a seamless user experience and minimal disruption.

Role:

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with fintech industry experience to collaborate closely with the engineering team and implement software testing best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
• Design and implement test plans, cases, and suites to validate functionality.
• Use defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla to report and monitor issues.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Conduct API testing with tools like Karate to verify backend functionalities.
• Maintain and update automated scripts as features evolve.
• Analyze test results and communicate feedback to stakeholders for prompt issue resolution.
• Improve testing processes and adopt best practices.
• Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across various environments and browsers.
• Support UAT and production releases, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal defects.
• Document test evidence and ensure traceability to requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role with automation testing expertise.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience in test planning, case creation, execution, and reporting.
• Familiarity with defect management tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience with automation scripting using Cypress and Selenium.
• Knowledge of API testing with tools like Karate.
• Proficiency with Cypress and WebdriverIO for front-end automation.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications (Android and iOS).

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methods.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Knowledge of network standards such as AS2805 or ISO.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Confluence, Figma, Miro, Slack.
• Experience in fintech, especially with payment gateways, merchant platforms, or digital wallets.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
• Comfort with fast-paced startup environments.
