The Senior IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both hardware and software, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver efficient technical support to end users. The Senior IT Technician will lead technical initiatives, support system optimization, and uphold IT standards across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the IT team, providing direction, training, and support to ensure efficient task execution and professional growth. Prepare, configure, and deliver computers, equipment, and necessary peripherals to employees. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of company computers, IT peripherals, and related assets. Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on computer hardware (HDD, peripherals, etc.) to ensure functionality and reliability. Install, configure, and update software and applications according to company specifications and guidelines. Develop, manage, and maintain local area networks (LANs) to ensure optimal performance and stability. Provide user orientation and technical guidance on new software, systems, and IT equipment. Ensure the security, integrity, and privacy of networks and computer systems. Provide technical support for video conferencing, audio-visual systems, digital displays, and other IT-related devices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity across desktop and laptop systems. Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure operational continuity. Deliver responsive IT support by assisting staff with OS, application, and network troubleshooting, and managing software installations. Maintain accurate logs of system maintenance, repairs, and IT activities. Recommend best practices, process improvements, and adherence to institutional IT policies. Identify shortages in IT or network equipment and coordinate procurement requests. Set up and configure workstations, routers, printers, and other peripheral devices. Qualifications: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate, train, and guide a technical team. Proven experience as an IT Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar technical role. In-depth knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead in a fast-paced environment. Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
