About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable and technically skilled Freelance AI & API Integration Specialist to support our UK-based diversity job board on an as-needed, on-call basis .

You’ll help us connect our platform with various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and job boards, build lightweight automations (including AI-driven matching tools), and liaise directly with ATS vendors to secure integration access and cooperation.

This role is fully remote, flexible, and task-based - ideal for someone who can jump in quickly when needed and deliver results without heavy oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver API integrations between our job board, ATS systems, and external recruitment tools.
  • Build small-scale automations to process candidate data and match it with vacancies (using GPT or similar AI tools).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration/data flow issues quickly.
  • Reach out to ATS vendors to request API access and build relationships for technical onboarding.
  • Clearly communicate our value proposition as a UK diversity job board to encourage ATS cooperation.
  • Document work clearly for future internal reference.
  • Be available on an ad-hoc basis to pick up tasks as they arise.

Skills & Experience

Technical

  • Strong experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
  • Solid understanding of JSON, XML, and data transformation.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms (e.g. Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Workday, Lever) and job boards.
  • Exposure to AI tools (GPT, embeddings, vector search) is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Communication

  • Confident liaising with external vendors and technical teams.
  • Able to explain technical needs and negotiate access or cooperation.
  • Strong written and verbal English.
  • Self-managed, reliable, and quick to respond.

  • Comfortable switching between technical tasks and vendor coordination
