Treasury Assistant | SB Finance

Overview

The Treasury Assistant will support daily treasury operations, assist in cash management, and ensure smooth processing of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of administrative and financial tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Treasury unit.

• Assist in daily cash management, including monitoring cash flow and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Prepare and process bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
• Prepare and process payments of bills payable principal and interest payments to creditor banks.
• Prepare Oracle accounting entries related to treasury transaction for submission to FACD.
• Maintain and update banking and treasury records (i.e., customer information records, signature cards), including account balances and transaction history.
• Assist with the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cash positions, working capital, and treasury activities.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure proper cash allocation and handling of financial transactions.
• Assist with the administration of foreign exchange transactions, including reviewing rates and ensuring compliance with company policy.
• Monitor bank fees, interest rates, and charges, and assist in identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Assist in the preparation of treasury forecasts and budgets, providing data and insights to management.
• Prepare monthly risk reports, operations risk and compliance deliverables.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions as needed.
• Support special treasury projects and initiatives as directed by the Treasury Manager.
• Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

• Has to have a clear understanding of the co-dependent relationship of Treasury with all the other desks within accounting.
• Has a basic understanding of Cash Flow Management.
• Has a basic understanding of financial markets. Must be cognizant of all internal and external rules, regulations and procedures including BSP circulars, SEC regulations and market conventions regarding finance.
• Can work with the members in the other divisions.
• Data-driven attitude for work; ability to cash flow targets. Own and drive continuous improvement ideas with the team.
