Responsibilities

  • Inspect the closed van/truck before and after trips and submit reports indicating the vehicle condition.
  • Read and review daily trip monitoring and waybill to determine assignment or delivery point.
  • Ensure seatbelt is properly used and secured during transit.
  • Give proper directions to the helper.
  • Maintain and monitor the condition of radiator, oil, and other vehicle systems.
  • Maneuver truck into loading and unloading position and follow signals from loading staff/helper as needed.
  • Ensure all scheduled bookings are delivered.
  • Ensure all deliveries are correct and delivered on time to the customer.
  • Ensure that all company supplies and equipment, including gloves, safety tools, and diesel, are handled and secured appropriately.
  • Ensure all deliveries are served on or before the date needed as indicated on the request.
  • Ensure no valid complaints from internal/external customers related to the delivery process.
  • Ensure all instructions are understood and followed to meet the QMS goals and deadlines despite obstacles in performing the job.
  • Ensure timely submission of documents required regarding deliveries and incidents.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in delivery is properly implemented.
  • Provide a positive response to pressure from superiors or co-workers.
  • Comply with operation and safety training, plans, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable in driving a truck or closed van.
  • Driver license must have restriction codes 1, 2, 3.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
