This role involves verifying insurance, processing invoices, and providing excellent customer service to patients regarding their billing inquiries. Accurately generate and process invoices for patient services. Collect and post patient payments (cash, credit, insurance co-pays). Verify insurance eligibility and coverage before appointments. Insurance & Claims Management Prepare and submit insurance claims in a timely manner. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies. Coordinate with insurance companies for approvals and clarifications. Maintain accurate financial records of daily transactions. Reconcile end-of-day cash and credit transactions. Generate billing and financial reports as needed. Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment plans. Explain insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and deductibles. Address patient concerns professionally and efficiently. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with HIPAA, insurance policies, and clinic protocols. Keep up to date with medical billing regulations and coding changes. Education & Qualifications Education: College graduate. Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Billing, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration. Licensure & Certification Certified Medical Billing & Coding Specialist (CMBCS), if applicable. Knowledge of medical billing codes (ICD-10, CPT). Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and billing software. Strong numerical, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Experience 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, cashiering, or healthcare finance.
